FRED HYRUM PALMER Funeral services for Dolores resident Fred Hyrum Palmer will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 10 at the Riverdale Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 1000 W 4400 S in Riverdale, Utah. Bishop Michael Fazzio will conduct. Fred was born on November 16, 1930 in Ogden, Utah the son of Walter and Ella (Dearden) Palmer. He passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at his residence at the age of 78. Fred was an active and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, and being outdoors. Fred loved people and music. Surviving Fred are his wife, Rhoda Palmer of Dolores; and his children, Kim Spanos and husband, Jerry of Orem, Utah, Randy Palmer and wife, Cindy of Farmington, Utah, Joani Kowal and husband, Bob of Kaysville, Utah, and Shawn Palmer of Roy, Utah. Fred also leaves behind his siblings, Keith Palmer of Ogden, Utah, Arlo Palmer of Tremonton, Utah, Tim Palmer of Riverdale, Utah, Shirley Palmer of Ogden, Utah, and Carolyn Palmer of Ogden, Utah; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and numerous step-children and step-grandchildren. Fred was preceded in death by his parents; by his first wife, Betty Palmer; and by his siblings, Dean Palmer, and Bessie Shade.
