FRANKIE REBECCA LEONARD Graveside services for lifelong Cortez resident Frankie Rebecca Leonard will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 1 at Arriola Cemetery. Mr. Raymond Boyd will officiate. Frankie was born April 26, 1937 in Arriola the daughter of Jesse Alva and Sarah Maude (Merica) Leonard. She passed away on Monday, October 29, 2012 at Vista Grande Inn at the age of 75. Frankie had a love for cards and books. She had an extremely vivid memory. Frankie was a longtime resident of Vista Grande Inn. An acquaintance of Frankie's that she met at the nursing home said the following about her, "Frankie you have made me realize so much about life you don't even know! I enjoy the little things because of you and the way you live every day with a good start and a smile on your face. You truly are the most amazing person." Surviving Frankie are her siblings, Jess Leonard and wife, Maidee of Cortez and Mildred McGettrick of Cortez. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her siblings, M.H. "Buddy" Leonard and Margaret Ford. Memorial contributions may be made in Frankie Leonard's name to Vista Grande Inn.
