FRANK K. KETCHUM

  Funeral services for Frank K. Ketchum will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Towaoc Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow at Towaoc Cemetery.

  A Wake will be held at his residence, 625 Littlebear Creek, Towaoc, beginning at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024

  Frank was born July 16, 1955, in Monticello, Utah to Mellie Hight Redfoot and Alex Ketchum Sr. He passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at his residence in Towaoc, Colo. as he was surrounded by his loved ones.

  In his early childhood, Frank helped attend with the livestock as he was raised by his grandparents, Callie and Decker Collins. He then went on to school in Oklahoma. Upon his return to Towaoc he worked for numerous departments, such as Resource Department, Farm and Ranch, and the Casino Shuttle. Frank was a member of the Native American Church and loved to travel to many places to attend meetings.

  Frank had a passion for hunting, fishing, being in the mountains, and riding horses. His favorite horse was named “Poncho” which he loved dearly.

  Frank had two sons, Farley Ketchum Sr. (Keanna), and Farlen Ketchum; a daughter, Kimberly Jane Ketchum (deceased); and by eight siblings, Lupe Hight, William Turtle Sr., Delberta Redfoot, Justina Redfoot, Anita Morales, Janet Redfoot, Shirley Denetsosie, and Alvorake. He also had his grandchildren, Marina Ketchum, Farley Ketchum Jr., Pharrell Ketchum, Ourayia Ketchum, Aiyana Ketchum, Farson Ketchum, Kobe Ketchum, Margarita Ketchum, Sun Rose Ketchum, Kiyomut, Jasmine and Bryant.

  Frank was preceded in death by his father, Alex Ketchum Sr.; his mother, Mellie Hight Redfoot; brothers, Darrell Ketchum Sr., Gerald D. Ketchum, Marvin Ketchum-Dutchie Sr., Melvin Ketchum-Dutchie, Alex Ketchum Jr., and Victor Hight; and his daughter, Kimberly Jane Ketchum.
