FRANCIS ORVILLE BUHR Memorial services for Dolores resident Francis Orville Buhr will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Thomas Buhr will officiate. The son of Orville Henry and Ebba Mildred (Sallman) Buhr, Francis was born on December 21, 1929 in Scandia, Kan. He passed away on Friday, April 21, 2006 at his home in Dolores at the age of 76. Francis enjoyed fishing, playing cards and other games. He also loved creative cooking, especially with chili peppers. Growing flowers and vegetables brought him great joy. He loved taking pictures of people he loved as well as flowers and beautiful scenery. He enjoyed reading. He loved people, was very outgoing and friendly. No one was a stranger. Francis is survived by his children, Tom and Wendy Buhr of Logan, Utah, Yvonne Folsom of Dolores, Colo., Elizabeth and Rik King of Hanover, N.H., Terrance and Lori Buhr of Kirtland, N.M., and Nancy and Wayne Decker of Henryetta, Okla. He is also survived by his brother, John and Elsie Buhr of Alamosa, Colo.; his sister, Arlene and Larry Etter of Austin, Colo.; 23 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Laverne and Edward Buhr; and two sisters, Mildred Lanier and Norma Jean Buhr.
