Frances Joy Coffey

FRANCES JOY COFFEY Funeral services for Frances Joy Coffey a longtime resident of Cahone will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 1 at the Dove Creek First Southern Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Dove Creek Cemetery, Frances was born the daughter of Joy Riley Gordon and William Valley (Hanna) Gordon on September 13, 1925 in Santa Rita, N.M. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Cortez on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at the age of 89. Surviving Frances are her two sons, Mike Coffey and wife, Linda of Dove Creek, and Mark Coffey and wife, Cindy of Cahone; four grandchildren, Nicholas Coffey, Grant Coffey and wife, Dena, Caleb Coffey and wife, Sara, and Beth Howell and husband, J.T.; and by eight great grandchildren, Nichole, Michael, Ayla, Lilliana, Abigale, Zane, Max and Emily. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Wayne Coffey in 2003; her father, Joy Riley Gordon; her mother, William Valley Gordon; by her brother, Paul R. Gordon; and by three sisters, Dora Grace Davis, Cristabell Crebs, and Leona Lamb. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Frances Coffey to the Cahone Senior Center.
