FRANCES HEATH Funeral services fro longtime Mancos resident Frances Heath will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, August 18 at the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Cortez. Interment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled for Wednesday at noon at the St. Barnabas Church. Reverend Erika Meyer will be officiating. Following Interment services there will be a reception held for family and friends at the family home located at 11525 Road 34 in Mancos. Frances was born on November 27, 1913 in Denver, Colo. the daughter of Thomas John and Jean (Stevens) Riley. She passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2004 at the Southwest Memorial Hospital. Frances was 90 years old. An active member of her community, Frances participated in many organizations. She was involved with the Anasazi Heritage Center as well as Crow Canyon. She was a member of the Colorado Association of Legal Secretaries and belonged to the St. Barnabas Alter Guild. In her spare time, Frances enjoyed playing bridge. Frances is survived by her children, Margaret M. Heath and her husband, John A. Beezley of Mancos; and her grandchildren, Alexander Allen Kane of Irvine, Calif., and Stephanie Ann Kane of Fort Collins, Colo. Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Vernon Conger Heath; as well as three sisters and one brother. Memorial contributions can be made in Frances’ name to the American Lung Association or For Pet’s Sake.
