Florence Louise Cooper

FLORENCE LOUISE COOPER Florence Louise Cooper was born on August 27, 1915 in Glade Park, Colo., the daughter of Orris Roland and Eulah Belle (Smith) Dennis. She passed away on Monday, June 19, 2006 at Mesa View Nursing Home in Cortez at the age of 90. On September 5, 1940, Florence married Forrest William Cooper at Syracuse, Kan. She was an avid gardener who loved time spent with her family. Florence was a committed supporter of the National Foundation of the Blind. Surviving Florence are her son, Don Cooper of Cortez; and her grandchildren, Teri Lynn Hoffman and husband, Bobby of Lakewood, Colo., Ellen Louise Williamson and husband, Ron of Cortez, and Gena Marie Linton and husband, Glen also of Cortez. She also leaves behind 8 great-grandchildren; and her 95 year old sister, Leta Irene Rowe of Pueblo, Colo. Florence was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Forrest Cooper; three brothers; and two sisters. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, July 1 at the American Legion Ute Mountain Post No. 75.
