FLORA FAY HARRISON Memorial services for lifelong Towaoc resident, Flora Fay Harrison will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, March 30 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Mr. Rutherford Mills will be conducting. Flora was born on December 27, 1964 the daughter of Achillis Eugene and Rose Marie (Bancroft)Root . She passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at San Juan Regional Medical Center in Farmington, N.M. Flora was 50 years old. Flora was raised by Sophie and Clyde Stevenson. She loved horses and was an accomplished barrel racer. She truly enjoyed the outdoors. Surviving Flora are her partner, Cordell Paypiamo of Towaoc; her children, Crystal Rae Harrison and husband, Juan Medrano of Aztec, N.M., Kayla Marie Matthews and husband, Ryan Chris Rose-Littell of Cortez, and Harley Albert Matthews of California; her grandchildren, Alex Medrano, Aiden Medrano, Aubree Medrano and Ryan Christ Rose-Littell Jr.; her mother-in-law, Yvonne M. Matthews; and siblings, Maria Rivera of Towaoc, Phillis Cordova of Colorado Springs, Colo., Rebecca Price of Ignacio, Cherylynn Houser of Cortez, Theron Root of White Rocks, Utah and Sandra Valencia of Cortez. Preceding Flora in death are her parents, Achillis and Rose Root; and her sister, Corrina Gurule.
