Filbert Kelly Randy Velasquez

FILBERT KELLY RANDY VELASQUEZ Memorial services for lifelong Dolores resident, Filbert Kelly Randy Velasquez will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2005 at the Evangel Assembly of God Church. The Ute Mountain American Legion Post #75 will be conducting military services. Randy was born on April 15, 1955 in Cortez the son of Kelly Epifanio and Lilly (Maestas) Velasquez. He passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2005 in Albuquerque, N.M. at the age of 49. Randy was an Army veteran who served his country during Vietnam. He worked as a plumber before he was diagnosed with Leukemia. Randy enjoyed the outdoors camping and hunting. He had a clever mind and enjoyed coming up with creative ideas for new inventions. Randy will be remembered for his great sense of humor and practical jokes. Surviving Randy are his father, Kelly Velasquez and wife, Elisa; his children, Patrick Aguilar and wife, Vicki of Fort Collins, Colo., Brady Jo Aguilar of Farmington, N.M., Danny ray Aguilar of Farmington, N.M., Antonio Velasquez of Cortez, and Heidi Montano of Farmington, N.M.; nine grandchildren; four nephews and three nieces. Preceding him in death was his mother, Lilly.
