FELIX ADAKAI Funeral services for Cortez resident Felix Adakai will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 16 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Reverend Henry McKerry will officiate. Felix was born September 15, 1982 in Shiprock, N.M. the son of Sam and Mamie (Herrera) Adakai. He passed away Monday, April 11, 2016 at his residence at the age of 33. Surviving Felix are his parents, Sam and Mamie Adakai of Cortez; and his siblings, Jennifer Adakai and Sammy Adakai both of Cortez. Felix was preceded in death by his brother, Derrick Adakai; and by his grandparents, Juan Hererra, Beatrice (Apachito) Herrera, Tom Adakai, and Ella Mae (Whitehorse) Adakai.
