Fedelina Vallejos

FEDELINA VALLEJOS Funeral Mass for Fedelina Vallejos, a lifelong resident of Cortez will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 20 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Rosary services will be held Monday evening at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church beginning at 7 p.m. Fedelina was born the daughter of Sesario and Senida (Manzanares) Sandoval on November 21, 1905 in Turley, N.M. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 15, 2009 at the age of 103. In 1924 Fedelina married Fermin Vallejos in Blanco, N.M. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Fedelina loved to quilt and crochet. Her family remembers her as a hard worker and a loving and caring mother. Surviving Fedelina are her children, Fern Maestas, LaVerne Archibeque and husband, Gilbert, Alfred Vallejos, Margie Martinez and husband, Rubio, Bernadine Vallejos, and Louis P. Vallejos and wife, Paula all of Cortez; two daughter-in-laws, Florence Vallejos and Margaret Vallejos; 33 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; as well as by her sister, Beatrice Muniz of Blanco, N.M. Preceding Fedelina in death are her husband, Fermin Vallejos; and two sons, Richard Vallejos and Jasper Vallejos.
