EVELYN JUANITA GREEN Funeral services for lifelong Dolores resident, Evelyn Juanita Green will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 8 at the Dolores Southern Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Summit Ridge Cemetery. Visitation has been set for Thursday afternoon at the Ertel Memorial Chapel from 3 to 5 p.m. Evelyn was born to Leonard and Grace (Marshall) Robinson on August 13, 1923 at Dolores. She passed away at her home on Wednesday, April 6, 2005. She was 80 years old. In September 1953 Evelyn married George E. Green at Chama, N.M. Evelyn was a member of the Garden Club and the Dolores Southern Baptist Church. She loved baking pies, crocheting and quilting, as well as mushroom hunting. Evelyn drew great pleasure being with her grandchildren and visiting with people. She loved bird watching. Surviving Evelyn are her husband of 51 years, George Green of Dolores; and her children, Shirley Juarez of Dolores, Don Johnson and wife, Linda of Dolores, Ron Green and wife, Marsha of Lewis, Mary Foster and husband, Dusty of Dolores, and Wally Green of Dolores. Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; and a sister, Molly Miller of San Diego, Calif. also survive Evelyn. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Evelyn Green with the Dolores Southern Baptist Church.
