Euvell "Red" Oldham

EUVELL "RED" OLDHAM Graveside inurnment services for Cortez resident, Euvell Oldham will be later in June at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colo. Euvell was born on December 8, 1923 in Margaret, Texas the son of Marvin Bishop and Susan Pearl (Dial) Oldham. He died on Sunday, November 9, 2014 surrounded by family at his home in Cortez at the age of 90. After entering the U.S. Army, Red served in World War II, Pacific Theatre. On January 1, 1941 he married Ruthie Louise Oldham who preceded him in death in 1993. In 1996 Red married Pauline Harbin who preceded him in death in 2013. For 68 years Red worked in the trucking industry. Surviving Red are his children, Linda McCormick of Cortez, David Oldham of Bisbee, Ariz., and Debra Nystrom of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren; his step-daughter, Patricia Steicklein; sister, Violet Grigsby of Saginaw, Texas; and sister-in-law, Jane Oldham of Wichita Falls, Texas. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Euvell "Red" Oldham's name to Hospice of Montezuma, P.O. Drawer 740, Cortez, Colo. 81321.
