Esther Louise Shaffer

ESTHER LOUISE SHAFFER Graveside services for Cortez resident Esther Louise Shaffer will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 9 at the Summit Ridge Cemetery. Esther was born on July 19, 1942 in Latrobe, Penn., the daughter of Paul and Mary (Chontos) Galo. She passed away on Tuesday, July 3, 2007 at the Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 64. Esther enjoyed puzzle books and traveling. She liked time spent at yard sales and playing video poker. Cats were very special to her as was time spent with her daughter, Robin. Surviving Esther are her daughter, Robin Shaffer of Cortez; and her step-brother, Jerry Galo of Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Kelly Shaffer in 1965; and her brothers, Paul and Leonard Galo.
