Esther "Evelyn" Eppich

ESTHER "EVELYN" EPPICH Prayer service for lifelong Mancos resident Esther "Evelyn" Eppich will be held at 7 p.m. on Sunday, February 5 at St. Rita Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church and graveside inurnment will take place at Cedar Grove Cemetery later this spring. Evelyn was born January 28, 1923 in Durango the daughter of Frank Nicholas and Florence Yvette (Jones) Sponsel. She passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the age of 94. On August 29, 1953, Evelyn married Louis Frank Eppich at St. Rita Catholic Church in Mancos. Surviving Evelyn are her children, Susan D. Eppich and Wayne L. Eppich, both of Mancos; and by her siblings, Dorothea Wielang of Florence, Ore., Joan Edgington of Castle Rock, Colo., and Maurice Sponsel of Sterling, Alaska. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband; and by her siblings, Janice Steele, Genevieve Eppich, Ruth Bartel, John Sponsel, and Franklin Sponsel.
