ERICA ELAINE KUEBLER Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident Erica Elaine Kuebler will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, September 16 at Ertel Chapel. Erica was born October 13, 1976 in Cortez the daughter of Norman Wells Kuebler and Jennie Leuders (Hight) Kuebler. She passed away at her home on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the age of 36. Graduating from high school at age 16, Erica went on to work a combined 20+ years as a receptionist for Ute Mountain Ute Elder and WIC Program and Elder Center. She was an artist and enjoyed drawing. Erica also enjoyed attending Pow Wow's and music concerts. Playing Bingo at the Cortez Elks Lodge brought her much joy as did watching the Broncos. Erica liked to travel but spending time with her nieces and nephews brought her the most joy. Surviving Erica are her mother, Jennie Kuebler of Towaoc; sister, Norine Silas of Towaoc; nephews, Basil Silas Jr., Gabriel Silas, and Andrew Silas; nieces, Ashley Silas, Judith Silas, and Ariel Silas; aunts, Jane Lehi and Ella McCook; uncles, Donny Hight, Raymond Kuebler Jr., and Donald Kuebler; and numerous additional extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Norman Kuebler; and brothers, Jason Kuebler, Fagan Kuebler, Stuart Kuebler, and Tommar Kuebler.
