Emma Jean Howe

Funeral services for Towaoc resident Emma Jean Howe will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Mr. Lorenzo Root will officiate. Visitation will take place at the end of the service.
Interment will follow at Towaoc Cemetery.
Emma was born July 31, 1943 in Ignacio, CO the daughter of James and May (Marsh) Howe. She passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 76. Emma was the first Ute Mountain Ute member to graduate from public school.
Surviving Emma are her sister, Betty Howe of Towaoc, CO; and her grandson, Joshua Lauderdale of Grand Junction, CO. Emma was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Tracy Lynn Lopez; her son, Antonio Jose Lopez; her companion, Perry Robbins; and her siblings, Agnes Howe Jacket, Hank Marsh Howe, Stanford Howe, Matthew Coyote, and Janice Avaline Howe.
