Elnor "Grace" Saltsgaver

ELNOR GRACE SALTSGAVER Memorial services for longtime area resident, Elnor "Grace" Saltsgaver were held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 5 at First Baptist Church of Dolores, 100 N. 7th Street. Inurnment took place at Lebanon Cemetery. Grace was born March 15, 1930 in Mount Carmel, Ill. to Albert Spencer and Lenora Alice (Tolleson) Glazier. She passed away at Vista Grande Inn in Cortez on Monday, August 24 at the age of 85. Grace married Scott Junior Saltsgaver on August 8, 1948. She worked a number of years within the Dolores School District as a cafeteria cook. Always ready for an adventure, Grace loved to go on Senior sponsored trips. She loved doting on her grandchildren which made her the kind of grandma that everyone would want! Surviving Grace are her children, Sherry Baxstrom of Mancos, Steve Saltsgaver of Dolores, Rusty Saltsgaver and wife, Kathy of Riverton, Wyo., and Randy Saltsgaver of Cortez; eight grandchildren, Luke, John, Steve, Jody, Josh, Jeremy, Scott and Samantha; 13 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Stalhut of Indianapolis, Ind. and Norma Bonhert also of Indianapolis. Grace was preceded in death by her husband; granddaughter, Mia Baxstrom and grandson, Jasper Payne.
