EDITH C. HINTON Graveside services for longtime Farmington resident, Edith C. Hinton will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2005 at the Cortez Cemetery. Edith was born on January 3, 1912 at Ione, Wash. the daughter of Alva Eddie and Clara Mae (Dennison) Brown. She entered heaven on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at the LifeCare Center of Farmington, N.M. at the age of 93. She married Raymond Howard Hinton in Cortez on Nov. 12, 1931. Raymond passed away in 1976. Edith had resided in the Farmington, area for the past 42 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Edith delighted in lives and accomplishments of 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 16 great great-grandchildren. Her extended family includes six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, the Riley families. She is lovingly honored and remembered by her sons, Howard Hinton and wife, Wanda of Beaumont, Calif., Norman Hinton and wife, Ouida, Karen Broten and husband, Scott; and her sister, Ruth Tate (99) all of Farmington. Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, Dorothy Ileen Greenlee; infant daughters, Shirley Edith and Mona Glee; her grandsons, Michael Norman Hinton and Steven Kent High; her sisters, Irene Carver, Ella Hinton and Blanche Hendrickson; and her brother, Elmer Brown. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Northwest New Mexico Hospice or to the Activity Fund at the LifeCare Center of Farmington in Edith’s memory.
