Dusty Ray Shane Beals

February 8, 1974 — March 1, 2025

Hesperus

Dusty Ray-Shane Beals passed away at the age of 51 on March 1st, 2025, in a motorcycle accident in Durango, CO. He was doing what he loved with someone he loved. He was a lifelong resident of the Four Corners Area. Dusty was born February 8th, 1974, in Monticello, UT, to Melvin Beals and Sorena Carol (Uptain) Beals-Wilson. Dusty was the youngest of 3 sisters.

During Dusty’s early 20’s he was a ranch hand, a guider, and a dude for Dude Ranches in the Mancos and Fort Collins area. At the age of 23 he met the love of his life Radiance, they got married March 13th, 1999. From that Union they had 2 beautiful daughters Baylee, and Jordan. They were Dusty’s pride and joy, and he was so proud to see how they grew up to be the strong independent, stubborn women that they are today.

Dusty would always say he didn't like going out and dealing with people, but he was a social butterfly that loved having a laugh, it didn’t matter who he was with. Dusty loved riding his motorcycle almost as much as he loved his girls, riding horses with his youngest daughter, sunsets with his whole family, and playing pool with his oldest daughter.

Dusty loved motorcycles so much that he became the Service Manager at Durango Harley-Davidson, and he was also an MSF instructor. He would never admit it if you asked him, but he loved teaching others and helping them become a rider just like him.

Surviving Dusty is his loving wife Radiance of Hesperus, CO; his daughters, Baylee Beals of Hesperus, CO, and Jordan Beals of Hesperus, CO. His Siblings, Gina Marriott (Randy) of Mesa, AZ, Teresa Clark (Les) of College Station, TX, Stacey Corbin (Craig) of Chandler, AZ, Cherish Beals of Mesa, AZ, and Harmony Beals of Mesa, AZ.

Funeral Service will be held Monday, March 10th at 1 p.m., at the LDS church located at 1700 E. Empire St. Cortez, CO. 81321. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at the Sunnyside Cemetery, in Lewis, CO.
