DORRIS EVELYN MELLOTT Funeral services for Dorris Evelyn Mellott will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 1 at Dove Creek First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Dove Creek Cemetery. Dorris was born July 1, 1927 in Cortez the daughter of Hubert and Alma (Brown) Baker. She passed away on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at St. Marys Hospital in Grand Junction at the age of 90. Surviving Dorris are her children, Nancy Stock of Grand Junction, Colo., James Mellott (Barbara) of Kenai, Alaska, and Janie Stiasny (Steve) of Dove Creek; by three grandchildren; and by her siblings, Ralph Baker of Illinois, Toni of Carlsbad, N.M., Jean Mellott of Pleasant View, and Ted Baker of Delta, Colo. Dorris was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Woodrow Phillip Mellott; and by her siblings, Carol Baker, Lucille Lynn, and Howard Baker.
