Funeral services for Cortez resident Dorothy Kee Thomas will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 13, 2021 at Victory World Outreach. Pastor Jonathan Bland will officiate. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery.
Dorothy was born December 9, 1961 in Tuba City, AZ the daughter of Thomas Kee and Mary (Yazzie) Maloney. She passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at her residence at the age of 59.
Surviving Dorothy are her mother, Mary Oldman (Casey) of Cortez, CO; her spouse, Ronald Thomas of Cortez, CO; her children, Shawn Begaye (Suntai Farley) of Cortez, CO, Shane Begaye of Farmington, NM, Sheldon Begaye (Elena) of Cortez, CO, Roman Thomas (Querida Mark) of Cortez, CO, and Leilani Thomas (Keland Billie) of Cortez, CO; her siblings, Amelia Singer (Jimmy) of Cortez, CO, Joe Maloney of Cortez, CO, Jimi Maloney (Diane) of Tuba City, AZ, Esther Howe of Cortez, CO, Nathan Maloney (Waggie) of Polacca, AZ, Doris John (Randy) of Cortez, CO, and Leo Carl (Susan) of Orem, UT; and 11 grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Maloney; her brother, Alfred Yazzie; and her grandson, Edgar Begaye.
