Dorothy Hayes Chaffin

Lifelong Yellow Jacket resident Dorothy Hayes Chaffin was born February 5, 1928 in Mancos, Colorado the daughter of Arthur R. and Eva (Rutherford) Hayes. She passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 at her residence at the age of 90.
Dorothy married Jerry J. Chaffin on January 18, 1948 in Mancos, Colorado. She was a 4-H Leader, and a member of the Weavers Guild, the Historical Society and the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Colorado Territorial Daughters. Dorothy enjoyed many arts and crafts including ceramics, stained glass, and weaving. She also enjoyed gardening and playing the piano.
Surviving Dorothy are her spouse, Jerry Chaffin of Yellow Jacket, CO; and her daughter, Katherine Chaffin of Yellow Jacket, CO. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Laura Kennedy.
