DORCAS HALL LOWERY Graveside services for lifelong Dove Creek resident Dorcas Hall Lowery will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21 at the Urado Cemetery. Dorcas was born June 3, 1922 at Bug Point to Earn and Roma Hall. She passed away at her home on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the age of 90. Dorcas spent many years as a child in Missouri but Dove Creek was always home. She had a great love for animals especially horses. Dorcas road every chance she got, whether it was a cattle roundup, trail ride, Pony Express Race, or just in the back pasture as she did just a few weeks ago. Dorcas was preceded in death by her mother and father; and by her son-in-law, Ordell Egge. Surviving Dorcas are her children, LaDon Sanders of Salt Lake City, Utah, Rand Lowery of Lancaster, Calif., and Myra Egge of Dove Creek; her 10 grandchildren, Sean, Patrice, Alison, Johnathan, Jeanne, Lacy, Robert, and Curtis of California, Lanell and Monie Pribble of Dove Creek, and Clint and Marsha Sanders of Mobile, Al.; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren at last count. Dorcas was very proud of her 90 years on this earth. She enjoyed telling stories about Pretty Boy Floyd, teasing anyone she could, but Dorcas was most proud of outliving three husbands and celebrating one ex-husband's death every year.
