DONALD WAYNE PERLINSKI Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident, Donald Wayne Perlinski will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 6 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Cortez Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled for Thursday afternoon at the Ertel Memorial Chapel from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. followed by a prayer vigil 7 p.m. at the Catholic Church. Father Derrek D. Scott will be officiating. Don was born on July 18, 1938 in Chadron, Neb. the son of Roman Martin and Mildred (Toole) Perlinski. He passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at his residence in Cortez at the age of 66. On May 23, 1959 in Worland, Wyo. Don married Marjorie Ellen Bechtold. Don spent his career managing a Hearing Aid Shop and was a Hearing Aid Specialist. During his spare time Don enjoyed fishing, Camping and bird hunting with his son. He was a dedicated member of the St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Surviving Don are his wife, Marjorie E. Perlinski of Cortez; his children, Marguerite Garner and husband, Tom of Grand Junction, Colo., Becky Eaton and husband Jim, and Steve Perlinski and wife, Shasta all of Cortez. He leaves seven grandchildren, Charisse, Marc, and Chantel Garner, Jack and Kayla Eaton, and Adam and Eric Perlinski; as well as his brother, Richard Perlinski of Reno, Nev. Preceding him in death were his parents. Memorial contributions can be made in Don’s memory to the American Cancer Society or to the Catholic Daughters.
