DONALD ROSE Funeral services for Dove Creek resident, Donald Rose will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 28 at the Dove Creek First Southern Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Dove Creek Cemetery. Donald was born on February 26, 1918 in Colorado Springs, Colo. the son of John William and Cora Belle (Moulder) Rose. He passed away on Monday, February 23, 2004 at the Vista Grande Nursing Home. Donald would have celebrated his 86 birthday on Thursday. On March 31, 1941 in Aztec, N.M. Donald married his sweetheart Goldie. With this union four children were born. Donald worked as a mechanic, a career he enjoyed. Upon his retirement Donald and Goldie spent much of their free time camping and fishing. His beloved wife, Goldie Rose of Dove Creek; his children, Donna Sellard of San Jose, Calif., Linda Perkins and husband, Larry of Ignacio, Colo., and Diane Shutt and husband, Donald of Cortez; as well as six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren survive Donald. Preceding him in death are his parents; his son, Frank Rose who passed away in 1960; his son-in-law, Lonnie Sellard; and three brothers and four sisters. Services are under the direction of the Ertel Funeral Home.
