Graveside services for Donald Eugene “Skeet” Clemensen will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Summit Ridge Cemetery. A memorial service will follow from 3 – 4 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel.
Skeet, 89 died November 26, 2018 at his home in Haviland, Kansas. He was born August 29, 1929 in Haviland. He graduated from Haviland High School and attended Pratt Junior College. Skeet served in the U.S. Navy. He lived in Kansas, Wyoming and Nebraska; and worked as a roughneck and pumper in the oilfield. On February 11, 1951 Skeet married Bonnie. She preceded him in death in 1992. He later married Lillian. She also preceded him in death.
Skeet is survived by four children, Sherry Hernandez (Rickey), Gayle Sanders (Bob), Kieth Clemensen (Kim), and Donna Randall (Sisto); ten grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; his sister, Dolores Williams; his friend and loving caretaker, Alice Rose Howell; his sister-in-law, Jan Clemensen; his stepchildren, Carol Nichols (Dave), Jimmy Simmons (Evelyn); and many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made in Skeet’s name to Hospice of the Prairie and the Haviland United Methodist Church, both in care of Fleener Funeral Home, PO Box 41, Greensburg, KS 67054.
