Donald Eugene Dove

DONALD EUGENE "DON" DOVE Donald Eugene "Don" Dove was born on October 17, 1931 in Burlington, Iowa the son of Carl and Mildred Chrissinger (Abrisz) Dove. He passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at his Cortez home at the age of 78. On June 14, 1953, Don married Doris Dunphy. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1950 to 1953 when he was honorably discharged. Don was a well educated and intelligent man. He worked many years as an electrical engineer and ended his career by obtaining a Masters Degree in Anthropology. Surviving Don are his wife of 56 years, Doris Dove of Cortez; his children, Donald Dove and wife, Donna of Jerome, Idaho, Daniel Dove of Phoenix, Ariz., and David Dove and wife, Judy of Cortez; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; his sister, Delores Gapinski of Bettendorf, Iowa; by his half brother, Albert Dove of Nashville, Tenn.; and by his daughter-in-law, Margie Dove of Mayer, Ariz. Don was preceded in death by his parents; and by his son, Dennis Dove. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
