Dominic David Olivas

Memorial Mass for Dominic David Olivas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 22, 2016 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20th at the Church. Dominic David Olivas was born on June 6, 1978 in Cortez, Colo. the son of Leroy Maestas and Kathy Ida Olivas. He passed away at the age of 37. He enjoyed collecting Star Wars memorabilia and comic books. Dominic is survived by his wife, Samantha Laverne Ward Olivas of Cortez; his father, Leroy Maestas of Grand Junction; his aunts and uncles, Rose Mary Mercure (Placido), Max Olivas (Carmen) and Agapito Olivas all of Cortez, Stella Archuleta of Denver, Colo., Juan Olivas of Utah and Manual Olivas of Indiana; his brother, Lorenzo Ortiz of Texas and his sister, Heather Hiens of Idaho. Dominic was preceded in death by his mother, Kathy Ida Olivas, his grandmother, Oralia Olivas and his aunt, Racheal Martinez.
