Dixie Elizabeth (Liz) Reynolds

Funeral Services for longtime Cortez resident Dixie Elizabeth (Liz) Reynolds, 85, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21st at Saint Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Cortez, CO. Interment will follow at Cortez Cemetery. Rosary and Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 20th at Ertel Memorial Chapel from 4:30 pm to 7pm. 

Liz was born on December 14, 1937 in Saint Johns, Arizona, the daughter of Gerald and Louise Fields and passed away June 16, 2023 in Cortez, CO.  

On July 28, 1956, Liz married Stanley Ray Reynolds in Grants, NM. Liz retired from the City of Cortez in 2006 after 29 years as City Clerk and Personnel Director. She had a devoted family and many treasured friends that she greatly enjoyed cooking and baking for. 

She is survived by her children: Charlie Reynolds of Cortez, CO, Leslie Dietz and husband Tim of Wasilla, AK, and Brandon Reynolds and wife Mori of Cortez, CO; six grandchildren, Janae Roithmayr, Crystal Ruiz, Colton Reynolds, Erin Babcock, Eric Dietz, and Casey Dietz; seven great grandchildren, Brea, Bryn and Trey Ruiz, Evan and Gavin Roithmayr, Sansa Reynolds and Emberly Babcock; and one brother Jerry Fields of Anthem, AZ. 

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son Alan Blaine Reynolds; and brother William Fields. 

A reception will be held at the American Legion following the interment at Cortez Cemetery; lunch will be served.
