DIXIE DELORA ROBBINS Funeral services for lifelong Mancos resident Dixie Delora Robbins will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 6 at the Robbins' Family Ranch in Mancos. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Robbins' Family Ranch. Dixie was born March 7, 1938 in Lewis the daughter of Richard Hale and Betty Jean (Ertel) Dillon. She passed away at her home in Mancos on April 30, 2013 at the age of 75. Dixie married Ralph Edward Robbins on April 14, 1956 in Mancos and to this union four children were born. Dixie was a member of and actively involved in Cowbelles and was an advocate for her fellow ranchers as a bookkeeper and spokesperson for the ranching community needs. She was also a member of P.E.O. In Dixie's free time, she enjoyed reading, crocheting, watching sports, listening to music, riding horses, and camping. Chocolate was one of her favorite indulgences. Dixie was a good listener, problem solver and historian to many people. She will be greatly missed. Dixie is survived by her mother, Betty Dillon of Mancos; daughters, Deana Kaye Yeomans and husband, Don of Mancos and Robyn Lyn Robbins of Mancos; grandchildren, Karassa Schaefer and husband, Dan of Aztec, N.M., Brianna Yeomans, Jori White, Autumn Robbins, Kole Yeomans all of Mancos, and Shacee Lane Robbins of Durango; great-grandchildren, Teya Janae Yeomans, Traycer White, Trevyn White and Wesley Schaefer; sisters, Roma Lynn Ewing of Mancos, Michael Sue Kern of Tucson, Ariz., Diane Muller and husband, Jeff of Mancos, and Patricia Morgan of Mancos; brother, Preston Scott Dillon of Mancos; sisters-in-law, Vergie Edwards and husband, Dick of Cortez; Eileen Moore of Rio Rancho, N.M., Ruth Robbins of Aztec, N.M., and Helen Robbins of Farmington, N.M.; brothers-in-law, Clyde Robbins of Cabot, Ark., and Gene Bott of Las Vegas, Nev.; and numerous relatives and friends. Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Robbins; father, Richard Dillon; two sons, Richard Vern Robbins and Wesley Lee Robbins; sister, Sharon Bott; and 12 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
