Diana Irene Fahrion

DIANA IRENE FAHRION Memorial services for lifelong area resident, Diana Irene Fahrion will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 13 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Father Derrek D. Scott will officiate. Diana was born January 29, 1938 in Denver, Colo. the daughter of Alvin Adams Smith and Hazel Irene (Wade) Smith. She passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, November 9, 2004 at the age of 66. On November 30, 1957, Diana married Robert Arthur Fahrion in Telluride, Colo. They resided in Rico for 20 years owning and operating the B&D cafe and raising their family. They shared 39 years of marriage until Robert’s death in 1997. In her spare time, Diana enjoyed painting with her watercolors and time spent in her gardens. Her grandchildren were very important to Diana and she treasured being able to attend and support them at their games. Surviving Diana are her children, Tammy Haley and husband, Steve of Cortez and Robert Fahrion and wife, Audra also of Cortez; her five grandchildren, Zachary and Kelsie Fahrion and Caleb and Jordan Haley; and two sisters, Donna Campbell and husband, Neal of Grand Junction, Colo., and Betty Booze and husband, Jack of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
