Delvern Jerome Gaustad

DELVERN JEROME GAUSTAD Memorial services for Delvern Jerome Gaustad will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2008 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Delvern was born October 6, 1940 in Minnesota, the son of Edwin and Selma (Ronning) Gaustad. He passed away at Southwest Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the age of 67. Delvern served his country proudly in both the US Navy and US Army. He was among those that defended the United States during "Bay of Pigs". After his discharge he held memberships in both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving Delvern are his children, Jerome Gaustad of Bellefource, S.D., Theresa Rankin also of Bellefource, S.D., Robert Gaustad of Dolores, Brian Gaustad of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Calvin Olson of Fergus Falls, Minn.; by 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and by his siblings, Eugene Gaustad of Vining, Minn., Sandra Brill, and by James Gaustad of Henning, Minn. Delvern was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Agnes Olson Gaustad; and by a daughter, Deanna Gaustad.
