Delaphine J. Waterland

Funeral services for Dove Creek resident Delaphine J. Waterland will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Dove Creek First Baptist Church. Pastor Travis Randolph will officiate. Visitation will take place at the end of the service. Interment will follow at Dove Creek Cemetery.
Delaphine was born May 17, 1931 in Emporia, KS the daughter of Delbert Frank and Hazel Juanita (Brown) Knapp. She passed away on Monday, February 21, 2022 at her residence at the age of 90.
Surviving Delaphine are her children, Joyce Barnett (Frank) of Dove Creek, CO, Diane Brown (Rick) of Dove Creek, CO, Harley Gardner (Denise Pribble) of Dove Creek, CO, Valerie Sharp (Larry) of Cortez, CO; her sister, Theda Savoie (Kenny) of Grand Junction, CO; 17 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; and 15 great great grandchildren. Delephine was preceded in death by her parents, Delbert “Dagwood” and Hazel “Blondie” Knapp; her husband, L.T. “Curley” Waterland; her son, Paul “Sonny” Gardner, and her siblings, Jeanette Reed, Jack Knapp, and Jimmy Knapp.
