Deanna Striley Greager

DEANNA STRILEY GREAGER Funeral services for lifelong area resident, DeAnna Striley Greager will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at the Arriola Cemetery. DeAnna was born on January 26, 1940 in Grand Junction, Colo. the daughter of Bruce and Alice (Gardner) Striley. She passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2005 at the Mercy Medical Center in Durango at the age of 65. DeAnna lived most of her life in the country outside of the Dolores and Cortez area. She had a special love for children and was active in the foster parenting children’s program. DeAnna was part of several clubs and organizations including, County Girls, Yellow Jacket Grange and 4-H. She was an angel on earth, as she now is in heaven. DeAnna was dearly loved by her family and friends who were a big part of her life. Surviving DeAnna are her children, DeVena Branson of Cortez, Bruce Uptain and wife, Earlene of Dolores, Lindy Brogdon of Lake Palestine, Tex., Clayton Watson and wife, Marlene of Dolores, Clint Watson and wife, Freda, and Kevin Watson and wife, Stacey all of Cortez; 13 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren ; and her sister, DeLos Fulks of Cortez. Preceding her in death were her parents.
