DAVID MICHAEL TENTLER Memorial services for Cortez resident David Michael Tentler will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 6 at Grace Baptist Church. Dave was born on June 17, 1958 in Euclid, Ohio the son of David B. Tentler and Diane (Cowley) Tentler Williams. He passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango at the age of 52. On November 14, 1986, Dave married Tammy Rhodes in Farmington, N.M. A wonderful father, Dave always put his children first. In his free time, Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding and being outdoors. Surviving Dave are his wife, Tammy Tentler of Cortez; his mother, Diane Williams of Ohio; and his children, Nikki Getz of Cortez, Joseph Getz and wife, Carrie of Owasso, Okla., and Daniel Tentler of New York City, N.Y. Dave also leaves behind his grandchildren, Sydney Getz of Cortez, Stormy Beanland of Dove Creek, Preston, Jack and Allison Getz, all of Oklahoma; by his brother, Tom Tentler and wife, Terri of Aztec, N.M.; by his father and mother in-law, Chuck and Alta Rhodes of Cortez; his uncle, Wayne Rhodes of Cortez; and by four nieces. Dave was preceded in death by his father.
