David Leroy Miller

DAVID LEROY MILLER David Leroy Miller was born September 15, 1935 in Monticello, Utah the son of Roy and Madge Miller. He passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at his Cortez residence at the age of 77. David met and married the love of his life, Iva Carol Willis on August 3, 1965. It was a package deal as she had four children. David and Carol were blessed with another daughter on July 14, 1966 and were further blessed with another daughter from a former marriage of David's that came to live with the family. David loved his family very much. He was also very fond of riding motorcycles and snowmobiles. David was a great welder and he loved to tinker in his shop. He worked in the uranium mines for Union Carbide for 28 years, retiring in 1983. Surviving David are his wife of 47 years, Carol Miller of Cortez; and his six children, Donna Darland and husband, Clifford of Cortez, Ronda Pilegard and husband, Charlie of Cortez, Sharyl Roach and fianc, Clay Baier of Dolores, Amy Sanders and husband, Mike of Battle Mountain, Nev., Clifford Peabody and wife, Tina of Vernal, Utah and Shauna Lynch and husband, Jim of Elko, Nev. David also leaves behind 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Bonnie Farris and partner, Sam of Greely, Colo., Carol Leadford of Cortez, Sherry Dyce and husband, Claude of Cortez, Vicki Mangum and husband, Joe of Ivans, Utah, and Penny Bagwell and husband, Doug of Las Cruces, N.M.; and several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Madge Miller; his daughter, Mandy Miller; his sisters, Dollie Tangreen and Nancy Warren; and his granddaughter, Sheila Lettman. "Dad will be missed greatly. Rest in peace Dad." Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
