DARYLN RICHARDSON FRYE Funeral services for longtime Cortez resident Daryln Richardson Frye will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 17 at the Dolores High School Gymnasium. Interment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery. Daryln was born on November 19, 1951 in La Junta, Colo. the daughter of Daryl Gene and Eva Winifred (Calonge) Richardson. She passed away at her home on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at the age of 57. On August 19, 1972, Daryln married Jearl Frank Frye in Glenwood Springs, Colo. Daryln spent 25 years as a pharmacist; she then went on to receive her Master's degree in teaching. Daryln's true passion in life was educating children on the Reservation. Daryln touched many children's lives as a special education teacher. She loved riding horses and her horse, Chester was loved as one of the family. Surviving Daryln are her children, Jessica Tobiasson and husband, Chad of Dolores, Lana Berry and husband, Perry of Page, Ariz., and Levi Frye of Cortez; her parents, Daryl and Wynne Richardson of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; and her grandchildren, Hunter, Jens and True Tobiasson, and Jacob, Jade, Jenae, and Jet Berry. She also leaves behind her siblings, Hi Richardson and wife, Ann of El Jebel, Colo., Tye Richardson and wife, Maureen of Glenwood Springs, Colo., and Ruby Richardson of Carbondale, Colo.; and by a large extended family consisting of Daryln's in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and good friends. Daryln was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, Dr. Jearl Frye. Memorial contributions may be made in Daryln's name to First Southwest Bank, 1510 E.
