DARLENE MONA (BETH) CLARK Memorial services for Cortez resident Darlene Mona (Beth) Clark will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 10 at the Lighthouse Baptist Church. Pastor Andrew Reed will officiate. Darlene was born February 17, 1933 in Hulbert, Okla. the daughter of Charley Homer and Della Ruth (Gable) Beth. She passed went home to be with our heavenly Father on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 81. Darlene met her future husband, Gene Clark in Muskogee, Okla. and they were wed on June 2, 1950. The happy couple was blessed with two sons and a daughter, Rick, Lyn and Ashley. In 2005 the Clark family moved to Cortez to make it their home. This loving couple enjoyed many hobbies together, including camping in their motor home, landscaping, gardening and seeing the world via cruise ships. Darlene and Gene shared a wonderful love for oil painting; the two were talented artists. Darlene and Gene enjoyed the kind of marriage that is few and far between. They were so devoted to each other and given the way they treated one another, it was obvious that they were deeply in love. Darlene was a tremendous wife, mother and friend. During the sixty three years that Darlene and Gene were married, she attended to her husband, children, and managed their business office. Surviving Darlene are her loving husband, Gene Clark of Cortez; her children, Rick Clark and wife, Sharon of Santa Rosa, Calif., Lyn Clark of Cortez and Ashley Anderson and husband, David of Cortez; six grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and by her brother, Jerry Beth and wife, Rita of Healdsburg, Calif. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; and by her siblings, Everett Beth, Irene Clark, and Charlene Sells.
