CYNTHIA SUE SILAS Funeral services for lifelong Towaoc resident Cynthia Sue Silas will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 12 at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Towaoc Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled for Thursday afternoon from 4 to 6 p.m. at Ertel Chapel. Cynthia was born on July 26, 1962 in Cortez the daughter of Herbert Silas Sr. and Florence Bancroft Cuthair Silas. She passed away on Monday, June 8, 2009 at Valley Inn Nursing Home at the age of 46. Cynthia was involved wherever she was needed. Her son and granddaughter meant the world to her. Cynthia loved to cook, play basketball, softball, ride horses, and mud bog. She loved animals dearly. Surviving Cynthia are her son, Stanley Ellsworth Frost of Towaoc; and her granddaughter, Raquel Morningstar Frost of Cortez. She also leaves behind her siblings, Mary Silas of Towaoc, Herbert Silas Jr. and wife, Cindy of Towaoc, Judy Faye Collison of Phoenix, Ariz., Basil Silas Sr. and Ella Nez of Towaoc, Andrea Jane Silas of Towaoc, Edwina Hatch and husband, Melvin of Towaoc, Alexander Dale Silas and wife, Carol of Towaoc, and Valerie Lynn Silas of Towaoc; her nieces, Natalie and Madeline Hatch; her favorite dog, Sampson; a large extended family; and many friends. Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Stanford Howe; and by her siblings, Herbie Silas Sr., Lucas Silas, and Mary Jane Hight Kay.
