Clifford Laroy Eastin

CLIFFORD LaROY EASTIN Memorial services for Clifford LaRoy Eastin, 70 of Cortez, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 18 at the Cortez Christian Church. Visitation has been set for Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel. Cliff was born April 30, 1938 in Norton, Kans. the son of Lawrence and Zilpha (Huff) Eastin. He passed away at Valley Inn Nursing Home on Friday, March 13, 2009. On June 10, 1962 Cliff married Marilynn Darling in Norton, Kans. Cliff and Marilynn made the move to Cortez with the Bureau of Reclamation 29 years ago. He was an Elder of the Cortez Christian Church and was an active member. He, too, was a member of Christian Motorcyclist Assoc. In his free time he enjoyed reading and time spent with his grandchildren. Cliff was a good handyman. Surviving Cliff are his wife of 46 years, Marilynn Eastin of Cortez; his children, Sandra Eagle and husband, Kerry of Aztec, N.M., Eric Eastin of Grand Junction, Colo. and Scott Eastin and wife, Nicki of Cortez; and by nine grandchildren, Joletta and Wendell Nix of Clovis, N.M., Nikki Eagle of Clovis, N.M., Jasmine Eagle of Aztec, N.M., Jonathan, Brittany, Daveed, Daniel, Christapher Eastin all of Cortez. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Myrna Almen. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Clifford Eastin with Christian Motorcyclist Association, Run For The Son, P.O.
