Claude Leslie Alexander

CLAUDE LESLIE ALEXANDER Claude Leslie Alexander was born on June 22, 1931 in Greentree, N.M. the son of Henry Houston and Rosie Alice (Speed) Alexander. He passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at his Cortez residence at the age of 79. On February 27, 1953, Claude married Mary Ann Gayden in Las Cruces, N.M. Claude spent time both working as an over the road truck driver and in the oil field. Claude enjoyed time in the outdoors. Family picnics were among his favorite activities. He also loved fishing. Surviving Claude are his wife, Mary Ann Alexander of Cortez; and his children, Sharon Alexander of Cortez, Debbie Alexander of Cortez, Jimmy Alexander and wife, Yvonne of Cortez, Rosemary Lente and husband, Ric of Dolores, Leslie Marie Whitehead and husband, Don of Cortez, Patricia Wolf and husband, Billy of Grand Junction, Colo., Pauline Sperle and husband, Ken of Cortez, Woody Alexander and wife, Glenda of Cortez, and Joshua Alexander and wife, Tiffany of Cortez. Claude also leaves behind nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many brothers, sisters, and extended family. Claude was preceded in death by his parents. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
