CLARENCE DUANE DENNISON Memorial services for Clarence Duane Dennison a lifelong resident of Cortez will be held at Noon on Wednesday, August 10 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Empire Street Chapel. Bishop Todd Plewe will conduct. Duane was born May 9, 1950 in Durango, Colo. the son of Clarence Harold and Venda Ilene (Adair) Dennison. He passed away in the rural Mancos area on Friday, August 5, 2011 at the age of 61. Duane loved time spent outdoors especially hunting, fishing and camping. He also loved building model trucks. Surviving Duane are his mother, Venda Cavender of Cortez; two sisters, Carolyn Lundy and husband, Vance of Cortez and Debbie Jenkins and husband, Stephen also of Cortez; one brother, Russell D. Dennison and wife, Gewel of Baxter Springs, Kans.; and by half brothers and sisters, Gordon Dennison, Barbara Miller, Roger Dennison, George Dennison, Dove Dennison, Rae Dennison, Lynn Davis, Ellis Dennison, Ross Henry, and Gale Dennison. Blessed by a large family from the Dennison and Adair families, Duane had many, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Duane was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Dennison; and a half brother, Jay Dennison.
