CLARENCE CORDELL "CORKY" UPTAIN Funeral services for lifelong Lewis resident Clarence Cordell Uptain will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 19 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, County Road M. Chapel. Cordell was born December 27, 1936 in Lewis, Colorado the son of Clarence Rueben Uptain and Lula Belle (Maslen) Uptain. He passed away on Monday, June 12, 2017 at Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 80. Surviving Cordell are his children; Lynn Rougau (Frank) of Houghton, Louisiana, Ron Uptain of Andrews, Texas, and Scott Uptain of Nebraska; seven grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren; and sister Carol Wilson (Dick) Lewis, Colorado. He is preceded in death by his parents; and by his brother, Baby Uptain. Burial will take place at Lewis Cemetery.
