Chet Winston Roach

CHET WINSTON ROACH Memorial services for Cortez resident, Chet Winston Roach will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 18 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Pastor Larry Chappell of the Lighthouse Baptist Church will officiate. Inurnment services will follow at the Cortez Cemetery with Military Honors being conducted by Ute Mountain American Legion Post #75. Chet was born on April 10, 1921 in Bounds, Mo. the son of Lee and Golda (Dixon) Roach. He passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at his home in Cortez at the age of 84. Chet owned and operated a long haul trucking company for many years. He truly enjoyed truck driving. He was an avid baseball fan and a fan of his family. He loved spending time with family and friends. Surviving Chet is his wife, Jean Roach of Cortez. Memorial contributions can be made in Chet's name at First National Bank.
