Chester "Chet" Cemore Leonard

Graveside services for lifelong Cortez resident Chester Cemore "Chet" Leonard will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 29 at Goodman Point Cemetery. Pastor Marvin Graves will officiate. Chet was born July 21, 1942 in Cortez, Colo. the son of Linley Franklin and Willie Ann (Carver) Leonard. He passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2017 at the Vista Grande Inn in Cortez at the age of 74. Chet married Jean (Story) Leonard on June 10, 1960 at Goodman Point, Colo. Chet was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving Chet are his wife, Jean Leonard of Lewis, Colo; his children, Ron Leonard (Sandy) of Lewis, Wendi Hill (Bob) of Gilbert, Ariz., Marsha Davis (Todd) of Scottsdale, Ariz., Ginny Martin (Shelton) of Lewis, and Linley F. Leonard of Lewis; by 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, with one on the way. Chet is preceded in death by his brother, Paul Dean Leonard; and his sister, Lois Miller.
