Cherice "Jade" Lynn Lopez

Services for Towaoc resident Cherise "Jade" Lynn Lopez will be held Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 10 a.m. at Ertel Memorial Chapel, 42 North Market Street, in Cortez, Colorado. A gathering for friends and family will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Ertel Memorial Chapel from 4 to 7 pm.

Cherise "Jade" Lynn Lopez was born with her twin June 22, 1988 in Shiprock, New Mexico, the daughter of Joselina Whiteskunk. She passed away on September 1, 2023 in Towaoc, Colorado.

Cherise is survived by her mother Joselina Whiteskunk; her significant other, Grant Ute; her twin brother Josiah Lopez (Kimberly) and her sisters Shaelynn Whiteskunk and Mindy Lopez; her children Asijah House, Abel Lopez, Avalyna Height, Atreyu Height, and Bonni Height; many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, many friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her father Rupert Whiteskunk; her maternal grandparents Jacob and Avalina Lopez; her paternal grandparents Joe Martinez and Nora Mills; her Grandfather Frank Whiteskunk Sr; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
