Charley Rey Dils

Funeral services for Charley Rey Dils will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Lewis Arriola Community Center. Pastor Dan Kelso will officiate. Interment will follow at Lebanon Cemetery. Visitation has been scheduled for Tuesday evening at Ertel Memorial Chapel.

On the 12th of August, 1936, Charley Rey Dils was born to Harry and Ruth Dils in Mountainair, New Mexico. At the age of 86 on the 22nd of June, 2023, he entered the gates of Heaven while working in his fields. 

He married his wife Joyce on the 22nd of May, 1959. They just recently celebrated their 64th anniversary. Charley is a veteran of the U.S. Army with 3 years of service. He spent 33 years with Shell Oil & Pipeline until his retirement. 

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, three children; Sam (Angela), Joe (Judy) and Tammy; two grandchildren, Coal and Kindsay; and one great grandson Eli. 

Charley was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
