CHARLES W. JOHNSON Graveside services for lifelong Dolores resident Charles W. Johnson will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 24 at Summit Ridge Cemetery. A luncheon will follow at the Lewis Arriola Community Center. Charles W. Johnson was born August 19, 1928 to Chester and Hazel (Morrissette) Johnson in Dolores. He passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Valley Inn Nursing Home at the age of 83. Charles married Ina Marie Knoblock in 1945; they had four children. Charles was in the sheep business for 50 years, drove truck for Bill Bridgewater, and operated the Tanner granary in Pleasant View before his retirement. Surviving Charles are two daughters, Charlene Sattley and husband, Jimmy of Dolores and Brenda Conrad and husband, Wayne of Eagle, Colo.; one son, Terry Johnson and wife, Charlene of Kasilos, Alaska; and five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Also surviving Charles are is sister-in-law, Ila Jean Johnson of Gallup, N.M.; a brother-in-law, Ken Knoblock of Clifton, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Those preceding Charles in death were his parents; his wife, Ina Marie Johnson; a son, Bradley; grandson, Brian; two brothers, Jimmy and Melvin; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Knoblock.
