CHARLES ROBERT 'BOB' McCOMAS Funeral services for longtime Dolores resident, Charles Robert 'Bob' McComas will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 29 at the Ertel Memorial Chapel. Interment will be held Friday, April 2 in Kennewick, Wash. at the Desert Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation has been scheduled for Sunday evening at the Ertel Chapel from 4-6 p.m. Bob was born on Aug. 12, 1920 in Huntington, W.Va the son of Charles Clinton and Eva Lena (Perry) McComas. He passed away on Thursday, March 25, 2004 at the Southwest Memorial Hospital at the age of 83. Bob worked for Guy F. Atkinson Construction for 39 years. This job allowed him to see much of the world. Australia and New Zealand were the only two countries he did not travel to. In 1980 Bob moved to Dolores. On Nov. 29, 1989 in Bullhead City, Ariz. he married Wanda Lee Mason. Bob was a member of the Operating Engineer Union, the Elks, Moose and Shriner's. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Surviving Bob is his beloved wife, Wanda McComas of Dolores; his children, Susan Crayne and husband, Walt of Pasco, Wash., Jerry McComas of Kennewick, Wash.; and his step-son, Richard Crandell and wife, Chantal of Rangely, Colo. He leaves eight grandchildren, Keri, Aaron, Shelby, Lindsey, Kasey, Courtney, Chavon, and Makayla and four great-grandchildren; as well as his sisters and brother, Freda Harris, Betty Poytner, Pat Passon, and Ted McComas. Preceding him in death were his parents; and his siblings, Ray, Frosty, Pauline, Harold, Everett, Donald, Frances, and Kenneth.
